Getting Started

Canva integration brings your creative designs directly into Discord, allowing you to share design previews, access brand kits, and receive collaboration notifications without leaving your chat.

Authentication

Before using Canva features, you need to connect your Canva account to Team Toolbox.

Start Authentication

Type /canva connect in any channel where Team Toolbox is present.

/canva connect

Follow the Link

Team Toolbox will send you a private message with a secure authentication link. Click the link to open Canva's authorization page.

Grant Permissions

Authorize Team Toolbox to access your Canva designs. We only request the minimum permissions needed for the features to work.

Confirm Connection

Return to Discord where you'll see confirmation that your Canva account is connected.

Privacy Note

Team Toolbox uses OAuth2 and never sees your Canva password. You can revoke access at any time through your Canva account settings or by using /canva logout.

Design Previews

When you or other users share Canva links in Discord, Team Toolbox automatically generates rich previews.

Supported Link Types

Designs: Full previews with design name, dimensions, and creation date
Templates: Preview brand templates with metadata
Folders: View folder information with item counts

How It Works

Paste a Canva Link

Simply paste any Canva design, template, or folder link into a Discord channel.

Automatic Preview

Team Toolbox automatically detects the link and generates a rich preview with design details.

View Details

Click the link in the preview to open the design in Canva for full access.

Authentication Required

You must be authenticated with Canva to see design previews. Links shared by unauthenticated users will still work but won't show rich previews.

Brand Kits

Access your Canva brand kits directly from Discord to share brand colors and maintain consistency across your team.

View Your Brand Kits

Use the /canva brand_kits command to see all your available brand kits:

/canva brand_kits

Brand Kit Names: List of all your brand kits
Color Palettes: All brand colors with hex codes
Color Swatches: Visual representation of each color
Copy-Friendly: Hex codes are easy to copy for use in other tools

Team Collaboration

Share brand colors with your team instantly. Everyone can see the exact colors used in your brand kit.

Notifications

Stay updated on Canva collaboration events with Discord DM notifications.

Managing Notifications

Notifications are sent via Discord DM when collaboration events occur in Canva. You can disable these by logging out of your Canva account using /canva logout.

Note

Notifications require your Canva account to be connected. Make sure you've completed authentication to receive collaboration updates.
